Coach Accreditation Courses
Gymnastics WA provides Coach Accreditation Courses with a Teacher Assessment option for teachers that intend to teach gymnastics in a school setting. Please refer to the GWA Education calendar for more information.
In order to gain an accreditation a teacher must;
- Attend an accredited coaching course.

Coach Accreditation Courses
Gymnastics WA provides Coach Accreditation Courses with a Teacher Assessment option for teachers that intend to teach gymnastics in a school setting. Please refer to the GWA Education calendar for more information.
In order to gain an accreditation a teacher must;
- Attend an accredited coaching course.
- Complete the requirements of the coaching course (Gaining a Gymsports L1 Coaching Accreditation' flyer)
- Pay the Gymnastics Australia registration fee to become a technical member - teacher.
To maintain accreditation teachers are required;
- To register annually with Gymnastics Australia
- Complete updating requirements for your level of accreditation (Refer to the Gymnastics Australia Updating Policy )

Structure for the Level 1 Course
The Level One Course has been structured to accommodate the needs of all the disciplines in gymnastics.
- Part One of the courses is called General Principles – the principles of Gymnastic Coaching and includes an introduction to the sport of gymnastics and basic coaching.

- Part One of the courses is called General Principles – the principles of Gymnastic Coaching and includes an introduction to the sport of gymnastics and basic coaching.
- A free Australian Sports Commission online Certificate is required as part of the Level One General Principles Coaching Course for 2009 and beyond. The Certificate can be found on the website under Coach. http://www.ausport.gov.au/participating/coaches on completion of this course, you are to email your certificate to education@gymasticswa.asn.au.
- Part Two of the course is the Gymsport Specific Course. Teachers may choose to enrol in one or more Part Two modules. These will be conducted throughout the year. Please refer to the GWA Education calendar for more information.
