Gym Warriors Fun with Mt Hawthorn OSHC

On January 27, the State Gymnastics centre was a buzz with the excitement of Gym Warriors  activities as Mt Hawthorn OSHC experienced a series of action packed, adrenalin pumping circuits designed by our Gym Warriors coaches to challenge and engage even the most reluctant of participants.

“I’ve never seen the kids so engaged in an activity across all age groups for an extended duration” Assistant Director Victoria Attard said. “The staff and coaches all did a fabulous job with set up and their interactions with the children were amazing – it was a very positive experience for them all!”

This activity would not have been possible without the support of Healthway and as a result we look forward to providing many more opportunities for the community to experience the exhilaration of Gym Warriors throughout 2022 and beyond.  Gym Warriors involves the use of non-traditional gymnastics as a way to engage participants and promote FUNdamental movement skills – essentially gymnastics at the grassroots level.

Healthway Executive Director Julia Knapton said that Healthway is proud to support Gym Warriors, which is equipping coaches, staff, and parents with the right tools to provide Western Australian children the best start to early development. "It's fantastic to see so many children engaging in physical activity and having so much fun while doing it!" Ms Knapton said.
