Announcing Gym Warriors Community Collective

Calling all young people in WA – keep fit the fun way with this FREE new program!

Gym Warriors Community Collective (GWCC) is an exciting program coming soon to Police and Community Youth Centres (PCYCs) across WA. The program provides an opportunity for young people to leave their troubles at the door and challenge themselves with fast-paced, energetic activities.

Based upon Gymnastics WA’s highly engaging Gym Warriors program, GWCC will provide non-traditional gymnastics-based activities including obstacle courses, parkour and free running. The skills developed with these activities are not only great for gymnastics, but can also be put to good use in a variety of other sports.

Following the activity session, participants will engage in discussion and education around mental health with the support of local charity A Stitch In Time. To add to this wellbeing component, Foodbank WA will provide participants with nutrition workshops.

Not quite convinced? Some PCYCs will be hosting a Come and Try Day where participants can have a go at the courses before committing to the program.

GWCC will run in five Police and Community Youth Centres (PCYCs) in Western Australia: Bunbury PCYC, Collie PCYC, Fremantle PCYC, Gosnells PCYC and Rockingham PCYC. These programs each contain four sessions taking place over four weeks in October – December 2022.

Spots are limited, so secure your place before sessions are full! Contact your chosen PCYC to get started.
