Gymnastics WA unleashed the new national grassroots gymnastics program, FreeG Kids on Wednesday 30 May at Collie PCYC.
FreeG Kids is an exciting non-traditional program for all children aged 3-11, offering an exciting mix of gymnastics, obstacle training and freestyle movement.
Athletes from Collie PCYC showcased their awesome skills through a creative obstacle course for the large audience of guests and families. You can see their cool video HERE
Speakers for the Launch included The Hon Mick Murray MLA (Minister for Sport & Recreation), Ruth Gibbons (Gymnastics WA Executive Director), Julie Gorman (WA PCYC Area Manager) & Alana King (Collie Police Acting Sergeant).
Collie PCYC have engaging new FreeG Kids equipment through a WA Police Crime Prevention Fund Grant. This is contributing to engaging new participants to Start Here, Go Anywhere in the sport.
Local coaches also visited Allanson Primary School and Wilson Park Primary School in Collie to provide students and teachers with a fun taste of FreeG Kids.
