WAG Advance Coach or Higher Needed

The Academy of Gymnastics, Butler are seeking expressions of interest for a confident WAG Advanced coach or higher qualified to join our coaching team. Having recently recruited high-performance coach Coral King, we are now looking for the right person to further enhance our strong team and take our competitive gymnasts and club to the next exciting level.

With over 700 members after our first year of opening this is a great opportunity for a coach to join us and help lead our competitive squads and further enhance your coaching career with ongoing professional development.

The job role includes at least 16 hours of squad coaching and the option of more hours to suit.  Start Date 21 October 2019 (negotiable).

West Coast Gymnastics Inc. has been specializing in the sport of gymnastics and acrobatics for over 35 years and prides itself in being an iconic club in Western Australia, conveniently located in the northern suburbs, just 15 minutes from the city centre and with 2 great venues in Malaga.

West Coast Gymnasts is a parent-run, not for profit community organization with a mission of delivering the sport of gymnastics to the wider community in a safe and professional manner. We aim to provide all gymnasts with opportunities for social and physical development in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, through a well-managed program that is professionally staffed.

All our coaches are nationally accredited with Gymnastics Australia and are continually required to update their annual technical membership as well as hold a valued Working With Children Card, so families can be assured that they are receiving the best possible service whilst a member of the club.

 

The Job:

As an accredited coach, with a minimum of WAG Intermediate with Advance Module 1, you’ll be working with children who have the desire to learn gymnastics to a high standard, in one of our competitive squads. Working approximately 15 hours per week, your attention to technique and skill development will secure you this rewarding position alongside a strong team of passionate coaches and staff. The position will be coaching either national or state level gymnasts, depending on the applicants experience and availability.

 

Essential:

  • Have a working knowledge of gymnastics
  • Be accredited through Gymnastics Australia with a minimum Intermediate & Advanced Module 1 Accreditation
  • Be able to follow directions and work within a strong team environment
  • Have a strong desire to teach, inspire and guide children to be the best they can be.
  • Hold a current and valid Working With Children Card
  • Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate

    Wages:

  • Wages are dependant on age and skill level and uses the Fitness Industry Award as a guideline.
  • Hours are flexible although applicants who show a desire to work weekends will be given more priority
  • This is a casual position so loading will also apply
  • Hours will be approximately 15 hours per week depending on applicants availability and the club’s needs.

The Federation of WA PCYC is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Qualified Gymnastics coaches to be a part of our casual pool for our Gymnastics Program running in Subiaco PCYC


Who We Are:

Established in Western Australia in 1941, The Federation of Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (WA PCYC) is a not-for-profit organisation that creates opportunities for young people through the delivery of two broad youth services: development (intervention) programs and recreational activities.  We manage in excess of 50 PCYC Centres and Blue Light Units throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia, as well as one camp facility.

Position Profile:

We are recruiting now for a fun and energetic Gymnastic coach to work on a casual basis and deliver high quality coaching in our Woman's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics program  (MAG and WAG) at a variety of skill levels. The primary responsibility of the Group Coach is to develop and deliver activity programs to PCYC clients and ensure a professional standard of supervision, training and service is maintained at all times. The Group Coach provides assistance to the Head Coach and supports centre management in daily service delivery / operational management of the centre, its staff and volunteers, and various activities. The successful applicants will be required to work Monday through to Saturday.

Duties will include :
Deliver lessons according to plans and programs.
Develop activity/training programs and associated documentation
Prepare assessment/evaluation criteria at an individual and program level
Liaise with the Head Coach to provide feedback and concerns
Ensure cleanliness of activity area and ensure equipment is maintained and used in a safe manner.
Monitor delivery of program by assistant coaches
File Accident / Incident reports as needed
 
Selection Criteria:
Hold or working towards a Beginner or Intermediate Gymnastics WA coaching qualification
Experience in instructing/coaching activity classes.
Working with Children Check
Police Clearance
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Experience with Inclusion
Experience in Training Upper Level Gymnasts

WAG Advanced Gymnastics Coach Position (casual)

High Flyers Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy, situated in Wangara is currently looking for a coach with an Advanced WAG Accreditation to join our growing gymnastics program.    This position will be coaching competitive group for state levels 2-3 times per week and being available for competitive or recreational groups cover on other days if required.  Our club promotes and assists with coach education and in-house training sessions. We have a brand new purpose built centre which is one of the best venues in WA.

Dependant on the successful applicant’s availability, there may be opportunity for extra hours working within our schools program and assisting with our other programs.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of GA Advanced Accreditation or working towards this level
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid certificate

Commencement date of this role will be discussed with the successful applicant, but would preferably be as soon a possible.  Hourly rate will be in line with the Fitness Industry Award (2010).

Vital Gymnastics are seeking to employ a Senior Coach for the purpose of coaching one of our upper level squads, coaching approx. 16 hours per week.

A successful candidate will need to display the following:

Key Requirements:

- Advanced Silver Australian Gymnastics accreditation 

- Working With Children's Check or Ability to Obtain

- Available on weekdays and weekends mornings and evenings

- Valid First Aid certificate

- 3-5 years Coaching at a senior Level
 

Preference will be given to a candidate that demonstrates the above requirements, possess excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of the WAG level 7 to 10 curriculum. as well as being able to work within Vital Gymnastics values.

Zig Zag Seeking a WAG State Level 5+ Coach & MAG Intermediate Coach 


We are seeking a competitive coach to join our team who is enthusiastic, active, self-motivated and reliable person who is passionate about gymnastics and enjoys working with children.

To be eligible for this position the successful applicant:
- Must be at least 17 years of age in 2019
- Be available to coach 3 sessions a week
- Have a valid Working With Children Check
- Have some previous experience coaching in a competitive program

WAG State Level 5+ Coach:
- Currently hold an intermediate or above accreditation
- Currently hold, or working towards, Advanced Tumbling and Spring Module One
- Ability to take ownership of lesson planning and programming
- Creativity and individuality in programming and delivery
- Excellent coaching development and training skills
- Able to work effectively with children and adapt/modify programming to suit individual needs and abilities

Remuneration will be negotiated and be in alignment with qualification and skills/experience.

Intermediate MAG Coach:
- Currently hold an intermediate accreditation of higher
- Currently hold, or working towards Advanced Tumbling & Spring Module One
- Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Australia
- Demonstrate experience as a MAG Gymnastics Coach
