MG HPC Update from Nationals


MG U14 State Team

Nationals results, National junior squad members named and Austrian Future Stars competition.

WA MG HPC Hot Favourite Wins U/18 Pommel
Mitchell Nylander was the hot favorite for the crown of the Pommel Horse for the 2010 MG Australian Championships.  Mitchell went into the event as the top U/18 athlete for this apparatus and with a start value of 5.4 Mitchell took lead capturing the Gold Medal with a score of 13.95 on finals night.  Congratulations to Mitchell and an outstanding effort.
 
WA MG HPC U/14 Team Shines
Congratulations to the U/14 team who won silver in the team event at the 2010 MG Australian Championships.
The shining star was Gabriel O’Sullivan who took out 3rd place overall and collected apparatus awards on all 6 apparatus, including medals on Pommel 1st, Vault 3rd . Team mate Jake Thompson 7th AA, won silver on High Bar. It was a fantastic effort by all of the boys and we are very proud of them all.
 
WA MG HPC U/12 Team 4th
The very junior team of U/12’s managed to come 4th at the recent 2010 MG Australian Championships.  Yari Marazatto finishing 6th AA.  Yari won silver on High Bar picking up minor results on Rings, Floor and Pommels.  Fellow team mate Matthew Richardson finished 8th AA picking up minor awards on 3 apparatus.  Congratulations to Ben Hamilton,  (Jednorog) for assisting the team with the result.
 
MG Junior National Squad Named

MG Junior Tour – Austrian Future Stars competition - November 29th
Congratulations to Gabriel O’Sullivan for being named as the 1st reserve for the 1996 and under age group.
