DSR Member Protection Information Officer course

Having a Member Protection Information Officer in your club is another strategy to help ensure 'Safe Clubs 4 Kids'.  Clubs are encouraged to enrol in the course.

Sport and Recreation organisations are urged to nominate individuals to take part in the upcoming Member Protection Information Officers (MPIO) course. Member Protection Information officers will be provided information on handling harassment, discrimination, bullying and how to create a safe environment.

Trained Member Protection Information Officers bring a number of benefits to an organisation.  Sport and recreation organisations with trained MPIOs are in a better position to manage legal requirements regarding anti-harassment and child protection legislation as well as addressing insurance requirements that require appropriate risk management strategies to be in place.
